Based in Qatar and reporting to the Design Coordinator, the Assistant Design Coordinator‘s duties will include:

• Use computer aid design software and equipment to prepare engineering design models for tender  stage and  quotation purposes
• Research design options and provide design alternatives at the tender stage
• Follow up design queries, drawings, calculations submittal and approval
• Insure transfer of information and documents to both PT designer and Consultant/Contractor
• Review stressing results and assess data before sending them to the PT designer
• Provide technical guidance and assistance to the Construction Department
• Assist Technical Manager/Design Coordinator to follow up correspondence and reply to both main  Consultant and Contractor queries and PT designer 
• Attend technical meetings with both the contractor and the consultants.

Candidate should hold a Bachelor degree in Engineering and have previous experience in Structural Engineering (exposure to normal reinforced concrete design or post tensioning design).  Candidate should be familiar with numerous building and design codes especially ACI and BS. English is a must; Arabic is a plus. Immediate availability is preferred.

Candidate should be available for a minimum assignment of 2 years. Basic salary plus fringe benefits are offered.
